At KEYFORT, we have some fantastic staff who help to coordinate and deliver the support across the North of England. Our staff are on the frontline, but also work very hard behind the scenes to make the company tick. We think it would be great to share some of these amazing people with you and get to know a little more about them!
Today we speak with Bridie C, was one of our North East Specialist Support Coordinators who has been with us for over two years and now will be coordinating one of our new services. As one of our nominated staff for this years "Frontline Leaders" Great British Care Award, she tells us a little bit more about herself and what her KEYFORT role means to her.

What is your role at KEYFORT and what do you do?
I have been a Specialist Support Coordinator in the North East Community Team. This means I manage peoples care and support packages and their teams to ensure they’re able to live life to the full. I am going to be the Specialist Support Coordinator for the new South Tyneside Children's service and can't wait to get going!
What is your background?
Before working at KEYFORT, I was a support worker in a children’s home. I predominantly worked with children with Autism and we would do lots of trampolining and swimming.
What’s your proudest moment working at KEYFORT Group?
My proudest moment at KEYFORT is probably being nominated for the Front Line Leader Award at the Great British Care Awards. It was lovely to be recognized for the work that I do 😊.
What’s important to you as a Specialist Support Coordinator?
The most important thing for me is that the people we support are living the life they want to live. I like to make things possible for people and see them succeed.
Open your music player, what is the last song you played?

If you could have any one superpower, what would it be?
To fly!!!!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Going out and about, walking and seeing my friends.
Bridie has worked in the North East Community team and is going to be developing the new Children's Service in South Tyneside. This team will help support children and young adults with their needs in their own environment - whether this be at home or in the community. The team work with a wide range of children and young adults across physical, cognitive and social needs. Our Specialist Coordinators are the key link between the person, their teams, their families and healthcare professionals.
We will be sharing more from different members of our teams so you can get to know them more.
