KEYFORT Role:

Recruitment Officer

What do you do at KEYFORT Group?

In my role as the Recruitment Officer, I work to support the business’s growing and diverse case load and, see that our existing teams and people we support, have the right staff with the right values recruited. I aim to recruit those who put the people we support at the heart of everything they do. It’s the most rewarding role I’ve had to date in my career.

What’s your favourite quote?

It is sometimes easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

(I think this is my inner child coming out in my adulthood, some might say I’m impulsive or often naughty 😊)

What’s your background?

I worked for the former Ministry of Transport for nearly 20 years, as an administrator and worked my way up to being a HR Business Partner – primarily supporting managers and their teams with recruitment, training and HR related projects. I then moved into Apprenticeship and mainstream Recruitment. My last role before joining KEYFORT was working for Manpower and Amazon.

If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be? Oooooh this is a tough one!!!!… Chinese or Indians or Marshalls sausage rolls. I just LOVE food so I cannot call this one.

Open your music player, what is the last song you played?

Deacon Blue – A Ship called Dignity.

You have your own late night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest?

Sarah Millican – she’s hilarious, a fellow northerner with a naughty sense of humour, right up my street 😊 We need cheering up during these times and, she would give me proper belly aching laughs!

What is your proudest moment at KEYFORT Group?

It’s really hard to name one stand out moment as I support lots of managers and teams with recruitment. But genuinely it’s the overall feeling I get. It’s so rewarding to do my job knowing I’m not recruiting to meet targets or achieve bonuses like I used to.

At KEYFORT, I’m making a positive difference to people’s lives we support by recruiting the right people and, that alone makes me feel proud!
